Weavers Fields is a local park off Bethnal Green Road that has a café, a children’s playground and two football pitches. There are also lovely walks along Regent’s Canal and the extensive Victoria Park is on the northern edge of Bethnal Green offering a multitude of activities including sports facilities, playgrounds, fishing lakes and splash pools.
The V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green houses the UK’s national collection of childhood objects, ranging in date from the 1600s to the present day.
On the weekend and throughout the week, there are various restaurants in and around Shoreditch, from Thai food to Caribbean. There is also a wide range of clothing shops such as Carhaart, Urban Excess and APC to name a few.
In terms of groceries there is are 3 Tesco Express’ all within 10-15 mins walk from Shoreditch High Street station. Closer to this there are local fresh fruit and vegetable stores within 5 minutes if not less from Shoreditch High Street station.
